Late September, early October.

Nothing new really going on here, other than Kate being potty trained :) I did the same method with her as I did with Kayleigh and it worked even better this time. She had it figured out by the end of the first day! Day 2 only had a few accidents and day 3 was almost perfect! Now, a few weeks later, she acts like she has been doing it for ages. Such a big girl now!

I just have some every day photos to post so I can try and keep up while I'm thinking about it.

The kids love to go out and ride, trike, skate, and anything else outside!
This is Kate's Ladybug helmet she got for her birthday. She runs for it yelling "my yeedeebah hemet!" anytime we go out to play. Love these!

She loves to lay on Lane's skateboard on her belly and roll down the driveway :)
Kayleigh is always hunting for bugs. Always. (gross)
See her back there? Hunting again! And I wish this wasn't a blurry picture, it would have been a great one!

More bug hunting, and making Lane come see whatever she found. Crazy girl!
Kate is the digger. She digs in the mulch and dirt and grass and rocks anytime she gets a chance.
Ok, this was so funny to watch. I wanted the kids to all come stand for a picture together. It's rare I get all 3 at once so this was a good chance since Lane was home! Kate wanted nothing to do with it. Lane was trying to hold onto her and make her be still for a picture but she still refused to look at the camera.
This was all I could get. I told her if she didn't be still for a picture then she was done playing and going inside. (I know, I'm evil! lol) So she stood there, but she was SO MAD!!

Here is Kate trying to pedal her trike. She tries and is so close, but just not quite there yet.

And here is Lane zooming right along on his skates. He is getting really good now :)

I took the girls to the pool one morning and we rode our bikes. We do it pretty often now that Kayleigh can go the distance without much complaint. On the way back she was riding along and swerved to miss a lizard and crashed her bike. Poor thing was so upset! Once she calmed down she got back on and finished riding home, such a trooper!

Battle wounds.

We need a bumper sticker for her bike that says "I'll crash and burn for lizards!".
Kate's new way of eating applesauce. Who needs a spoon? Just bite through the top and suck it out!

This was a rainy day but no storm. Good day to play in the rain without worrying. Plus Lane was trying to do homework so I had to get the girls out of his hair for awhile.

I don't know why she looks so upset, she was telling me something about the ball, lol.

Please excuse the pants-less toddler. This was the second day of potty training and they're only supposed to wear a shirt and panties :)
 Looking at something??

There were some lovebugs flying around and Kayleigh was freaking out a little bit.
 Cheeeeesseee!!

 Look! A bug!
See it, Sissy??
 I'm gonna squish it...
 Another bug!
Kayleigh likes to throw the ball way up in the air and stand still so it comes back down and bounces on her head :)

"Mommy watch!" and then she kicked it straight at me!
 Kate had to try.
 and try again...

 Cheeeessseee!!

This week Lane's class job was to care for the class pets. 3 mice, yikes! Part of his duty was to bring them home and look after them over the weekend. They were all very excited to have the mice at our house (mommy was not!) and getting to hold them was quite the adventure for the girls.

Kate was very excited to hold the mouse and then got very nervous and wanted it out of her hands, lol. She was a little more comfy with it being on her legs.
This weekend the kids were all playing in the playroom and I went to see what they were doing. Lane was reading the girls a story, teacher style.

Such a good big brother :)
This weekend we also did Kayleigh's first haircut. She has needed the dead ends cut off for quite some time now, and we finally did it. It makes me a little sad to have to cut it because it was so long,
but it will grow back and be healthier.

Before.

 And after.
It looks crooked in the picture but I tripled checked before I let her go and it's nice and even :)

And this morning, dry hair, all nice and even :)

And that is all for now. Love you all! xoxo
