Hello, everyone! I wish I could do this more often, but you know me by now. Not gonna happen ;)
Lane is 8 now and has started 3rd grade and loves it so far. His teacher is fantastic and he has some of the same classmates as last year. He is still waiting on some of his teeth to come in, but I guess they'll get here eventually!
Kayleigh is 3 now and asks to go to school with Lane. She says she is a big girl so she needs to go to school, lol. She is as sassy as ever and keeps us all on our toes!
Kate is 2 now and the sweetest of the kiddos at the moment. She likes to snuggle (The others were not snuggler's so this makes me happy!) and is talking up a storm. She gets clearer every day. She and Kayleigh are only about 3 pounds apart and they're both big for their age.
As for Josh and I, if you haven't heard, we got engaged a few weeks ago!
Ok, on to pictures.
This is Kate after trying to dress herself. I think she did really good! Just a few details were missed, ha!
Kate discovered that she could fit in the empty cupboard.
Of course Kayleigh wanted to play, too!
Kayleighs birthday was June 26th. She wanted to help me make her cake!
Everybody likes this part :)
Present time!!
A big girl bike! She is so excited!
Kick board for the pool.
A play vacuum. Lord only knows why she wanted one, she is scared of the big one! But for weeks she told anyone who would listen that she wanted a 'pay back-oom' (play vacuum) for her birthday.
A scooter! (in hindsight we should have just gotten her the big kid 2 wheel kind. She rides Lane's more than her own now!)
Time for cake! Home decorating is never glamorous, but she loved her mermaid cake :)
Here she is, riding her new bike like a pro :)
Next, our trip to Texas. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I wanted to, but there are a few. This was the day after we got there. Josh's dad (Paul/Papa) loaded up his grill and everything we needed to cook and eat lunch with and hauled it down to the park. He cooked and we all visited and the kids played and played. Best Papa ever!! I was hotter than you can imagine! (it got hotter by the day while we were there!)
Between the heat and skipping her nap, Kate was exhausted after that! She fell asleep about a minute after getting in the truck and never flinched when I got her out and carried her up to the hotel room.
And here are some pics from the 4th when we went to watch the fireworks. They put on a great show and the kids loved it! They were sad when it ended.
Lane helping Kate out of the stroller.
Christa went with us! (Josh's older sister)Josh :)
Aunt Christa
Daddy bought everyone slushies/snow cones. First time for the girls and you can bet they loved them!We visited the Dallas Children's Aquarium and the kids loved it. I took these with my phone so they aren't great, but here ya go.
Checking out some sharks.
Then on the last day we went to a swap meet with Paul/Papa. We snagged a vintage Roller Racer for $10!! All 3 kids can ride it (Kate is just starting to get the hang of it) and it's great exercise. Here is Kayleigh testing it out after Lane showed her how.
That concludes the Texas trip. I really need to remember to take my camera with us!
Next is Kate's birthday! Kayleigh helped me bake her cake, too. She loved helping with the baking! It's probably just so she could lick the beater and the spoons :)
A FurReal puppy. Omg this thing is adorable and she loves it! It barks and whines and walks.
A baby that eats and drinks and tells you the banana's are yummy, lol.
I dunno what was in this one...
Pillow Pet!! The girls love these things!
It's a big girl scooter!
The cake. She has a slight Olivia obsession at the moment.
Ok, that's all for Kate's birthday. Onto some random one's.
Leftover cake? Yes, please!
Silly girl.
Kate running from me cuz she doesn't want her picture taken. Then she hides on the couch, lol.
Ok, it's Lane's birthday time!
The loot.
The girls, waiting for Lane to open presents! His new helmet. He has asked for a mohawk haircut for ages now. He knows it will never happen, so this was our compromise :)
MP3 player.
This little dude over to the left is his best buddy Jack. He lives in the next neighborhood over and they play all the time. Great kid :)
This was a book about how to make paper airplanes. It's full of pages that have cool designs and all the lines on where to fold and instructions on how to make them fly better and all kinds of tips and tricks. They built paper planes for like an hour that afternoon :)
New, bigger skateboard.
It's a bike! And I'll have to update again soon with bike pictures, somehow I didn't get any after Josh got it all put together.
And the Harry Potter cake. Kayleigh helped me with this one, too!
He looks so grown up :(
All done with the birthday.A few more randoms.
Daddy brought leftover cupcakes home from a work thingy. The colors blow my mind sometimes!
This little guy has been wandering our backyard lately. A few days later we saw it with it's mommy, standing right at the edge of the neighbors porch! Kate says 'I see it! Pony!' lol
The girls think Lane's lunchbox is very cool, so I got some mini ones for them. I pack them the night before, just like Lane. They love them, and the best part? I can put just about anything in them and they will eat it, just because it's in a cool box!
And here is Kayleigh swimming. We took this to show Papa because she had been talking about it when we were in Texas.
And this was Laney poo today, practicing for Skate Night this week!
Ok, the end! If someone would like to give me a reminder in about a month I'll update again
instead of waiting until Christmas! Just a thought :)
Love you all!
