Lane, when he was about 3. He and some neighbor kids were in the fenced backyard playing...and he came in like this. Later I found the hole they had been digging. It was waist deep on me!

January, a short post...but I have to catch up :)
A very short January post. I obviously didn't take many pictures, none of Lane whatsoever, and pretty much nothing exciting going on this past month, lol.
Lane is doing his normal stuff, school and friends and birthday parties. He is finally getting his teeth back and recently had a checkup at the doctors office. He is a tiny little guy, 48? pounds, 35th percentile for height and 25th for weight. Teeny, but nothing to worry about. Kate also had a checkup recently and she is the opposite of Lane, a little mini tank. She is 26ish pounds and in the 75th percentile for both height and weight. Already bigger than Kayleigh was at that age! She is starting to talk and can say a handful of things well, and says tons more that are hard to understand. So far she is the fearless one, she tries to climb everything and anything and then tips over in/on it. Kayleigh is due for a checkup in June but she did want to get weighed with Kate at the doctors, so we weighed her too and she is 31 pounds. She is pretty tall for her age it seems, one more growth spurt and she will be too tall for her 3T pants! She says anything and everything you want her to, carries on little conversations, and is VERY sassy! There is the update, for now. Someone please send us some winter, we seem to have been skipped this year.
This is one of those hopper balls. Kayleigh got it for her birthday and Kate wants to play on it so badly! She is just too little still, but she tries :)
Kate finally has enough hair to do a little more than 1 ponytail, so here is our first little do! She was a little under the weather so she looks wonky.
And this was Kayleighs that day.
And I will leave you will a dancey dance video of Kate. She is all about the wiggle right now. Please excuse the video going sideways, I assumed that when you turned the camera while taking a video that it would do the same as turning it to take a picture. Obviously I was wrong.

I suck, I'm sorry. November and December.
This was one of the last really warm days and it had just rained. Kayleigh was thrilled to play in the wet grass...Kate was NOT. She doesn't want anything at all to do with walking in the grass.
Cookie baking time! Kate LOVES when the oven is on :)
Can you tell?
Happy Turkey Day!!
Kate's first (single) ponytail!
Christmas tree time! The kids were thrilled with this entire process :)
Do you see Lane?
An edible Christmas tree, the 2 big kids loved making these (sugar cones, green frosting, decorations of your choice) and Kate loved eating them.
At first she wasn't sure...
but then she got a taste :)
The kiddos made these many times this season, loads of fun for them and time consuming!
Kayleigh nibbling on some sprinkles, Lane showing off his tree.
I threw a small surprise party for Josh this year. He showed up too early (even though I tried to stall him) so he wasn't as surprised as I would have liked, but we had a good time anyway! I had my camera out and ready but forgot to take any pictures until late.
Josh showing off his crazy, makeshift party hat, lol.
Terrible picture of some party people.
Josh and some guys playing Guitar Hero on Kenny and Jills Wii. Thanks guys!!
And that's all...I wish there were more from this night :(
On to Christmas!
The before...
Everyone checking out Santa loot.
Kayleigh was ready to dig right in! lol
The pony was a shared Santa gift for the girls, they both are in love with it!
Stockings!
A smile is too much to ask for.
Kate playing with the box from one of Kayleighs toys.
Trying to stick a bow on Lane, he wasn't having it, lol.
Weirdo, lol.
And the after....
And dinner.
The End!!
